Weight Loss with RejuvenateYou Metabolic Enhancer, Week 14 through Week 20

RejuvenateYou Metabolic Enhancer
This is an update on the progress of a patient of ours who has started taking our RejuvenateYou Metabolic Enhancer along with changing his diet.  Our patient is a 44 year old male who works out regularly (about 4-5 times a week), but has he has seen his weight slowly creep up.  He was weighing right at 161 pounds and his clothes were fitting too tight, along with the fact he never gets a good night sleep.  I suggested to our patient that he take our RejuvenateYou Metabolic Enhancer Drops along with modifying his diet to follow our "Approved Foods" list and a Paleo Diet.  This is his progress report from weeks eight through thirteen:

Update for 1-4-2014

This week’s weigh in, 148.2 for a weight loss of 1.2 Lbs.

I’m happy with the weight loss.  Even with New Years I was able to stay on my diet but I did not exercise at all.  So all things considered I am very happy with the weight loss for the week.  My target weight goal is 140 pounds and the more weight you lose the slower the weight loss is.  The reason is, as you lose weight the body becomes more efficient and has less spare fat to work with.

Next week I plan on doing my best to stay on the diet and finally get back to working out.  So we will see if I can lose a bit more weight.

Special update for 1-8-2014

The plan for this week has been disrupted.  Yesterday due to freezing weather a pipe in an apartment above mine broke and ran water for about 3 hours before it was discovered, resulting in my apartment being flooded.  So I am a hotel refugee for an indeterminate amount of time.  I do not have access to a kitchen or any way to prepare or store food.  So this week’s experiment is to see what happens to a person who was on a very strict diet, who suddenly goes off it and starts eating processed/restaurant food.  Saturday I will give my weight gain update as well as any changes in my blood pressure.

For a start date and time of this experiment I will say 6:30 PM January 7, 2014.  That is when I went to my first buffet dinner at the hotel.  Also, since it is free I will be consuming 2 alcoholic beverages an evening.  All of the food and alcohol comes with the room so I might as well make the best of a bad situation!

Saturday update 1-11-2014

I was not able to do an official weigh in this week because my scales are in my apartment.  I am living in a hotel right now while the repair people get the flood water out and begin repairs.  But I have roughly gained 3 pounds since Tuesday.

At first I thought the experiment of abruptly going from a Paleo diet to an average fast/junk food diet would be fun, but I have changed my mind quickly.  After a couple days all the food started tasting the same: Mexican, burgers, chicken, breakfast, lunch, it did not matter.  Then the messed up digestion kicked in, then (I’m not kidding) organs like spleen and kidneys started hurting.  I like a small amount of salt on food that needs it but I was not ready for the food shaped salt I got from the fast food places!

I realize I am in the middle of an emergency situation with my apartment and at some point things will return to normal, but I have decided that this crap food experiment is over.  I do not know how or if it is even possible, but somehow I am going to get back on a proper eating program.  At the least a diet that is not going to kill me!

Sorry for not being positive, but as for next week, I do not have a plan or the slightest idea how it is going to work out.  All I can say is, most likely I will be doing a update.

Sunday update for 1-19 2014

Weigh in, 148.8 for a weight gain of 0.6 Lbs.

This is the first official weigh in I have been able to do in two weeks and I am surprised at how little weight I gained.  Doing the mirror check I was certain I had gained three or four pounds. That just goes to show sometimes what you weigh might be different than what you think you weigh, and why it is good to use both the scales and the mirror.

My short experiment with eating average food, besides being salty and tasteless, showed me that being on a high carbohydrate diet makes you puff up.  Literally you (at least me personally) started looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy.

The diet this week has been on and off.  I was not able to return to my apartment until Wednesday, at which time I immediately went back to eating right.  I think that did a lot to keep me from gaining too much weight, or at least started me back on weight loss.  However on Saturday my place got flooded AGAIN, resulting in me being back in a hotel eating bad food for who knows how many more days.  But this time I have a room with a refrigerator so I should be able to keep some semblance of a decent diet going.

I have some pretty hard goals set for myself this week.  I am going to get back to running my business.  Having no money has definite vacuum properties!  I am going to try to keep eating properly. I am going to try to work out at least three times this week.  I am not expecting any amazing results from any of these goals, but if I can just function through them I will consider it a success.

Looking back one thing I am really happy about is the fact I decided I was healed and quit taking the cholesterol medication.  With all the things I have had to do/endure the last two weeks, if I had still been on the meds (which totally drained me of any energy), I would have been in real trouble.

Update for 1-25-2014

Weigh in was 148 Lbs. for a weight loss of 0.8 Lbs.

Given the circumstances of the last week I am very happy that I was able to lose weight.  After all the flooding, hotels, and bad food I finally got back to my apartment last Monday.  I immediately went back to eating a clean diet and was able to make it to the gym twice.  Thinking about my goals from last week I feel that I did accomplish them.  Not as thoroughly as I had hoped but I got back into the grove of things and I am moving forward.

I will take time this weekend to reevaluate the time frame of my weight loss goals since I essentially lost the month of Jan.  Next week I plan on experimenting with intermediate fasting and I will let you know how that goes.

Update for 2-1-2014

Weigh in was 150.6 lbs. for a weight gain of 2.6 lbs.

The big change for this week was, for the first time since the end of September, I completed a solid week of working out.  I know from personal experience that your body reverses muscle loss quickly so most of the weight change was caused by my body getting the muscles back used to working out.

I do have to say that with a week’s worth of working out after a four month break, every single part of my body hurts.  It’s a good hurt but still it hurts and I am sore as can be.  Next week things should be a lot easier.

However my diet was not that good this week and I did cheat a couple times.  Using the mirror check I think I added a very small amount of body fat but a lot more muscle.  Now that all the disasters of January are behind me I have decided to re-re-start the Paleo challenge.

The goal I am setting for myself is to get my total body weight down to 140 lbs on or before March 31. I am going to a very simple Paleo diet and stick to foods that I know are safe.  Basically since February and March are cold and dark, I am going stay in and work on myself.

Update for 2-8-2014

Weigh in 149.4 Lbs, for a weight loss of 1.2 Lbs.

I am a little disappointed because I was expecting a little more weight loss but as long as the scales are going down who really cares!  Actually, since I re-re-started the Paleo diet last Sunday my body really did not start losing weight till about Wednesday.  Also I did not work out last week because I was not feeling well.

Next week I will keep on the diet and try to make it to the gym.

Saturday update 2-15-2014

Weigh in at 147.4 Lbs, for a weight loss of 2 Lbs.

Wow, I am impressed!!  I did not think I was going to lose that much weight, but as usual, if the scales are going down I will take what I can get.  Although I think some of the weight loss was from muscle atrophy.

This week was a little bit different because of the weather.  I was snowed in from Wednesday morning till Friday afternoon, so I did not get to the gym.  BUT it is really easy to stick to your diet when the only food available to you is what is in your fridge.  Lucky for me I was well stocked on only Paleo food.  Being Saturday and I can leave my house I might have a small steak for dinner tonight.

The plan for next week is to (weather permitting) do a standard five days of working out and still stay on the diet.  Thursday there is a planned dinner with friends so I will have a cheat day next week.

Till next week’s update…

My thoughts on this update from weeks 14 through 20:

The main thing anyone should take from this post is PERSEVERANCE!  Look at all the hurdles and roadblocks our patient had to overcome.  He had to leave his residence TWICE because of pipes bursting.  The last thing on his mind is sticking to a lifestyle of eating clean when dealing with that stress.  He was not able to get in a consistent workout routine with all the turmoil going on.  But one thing that stayed consistent is he did not deviate from his eating lifestyle too much.  In fact, when he did eat that processed garbage his stomach did not approve.  Sometimes it is good to eat like you used to, because you will realize how awful you feel, and it will only reiterate the fact that eating clean makes you feel and look better.

Our patient started at 161 pounds and was not losing any weight prior to starting our RejuvenateYou Metabolic Enhancer Drops and following my "Approved Foods List".  Now he weighs 147.4 pounds and he wants to get down to 140 pounds.  That was probably unthinkable 20 weeks ago, but he has retrained his brain!  He has done a great job and slow and steady wins the race!
